Do I need mysql-client for PHP/Python etc interactions? -


i setting production server first time , make sure have need security prepress.

by "interactions" since i'm new programming, think mean "api calls".

do need mysql-client on linux (debian) server able 'talk' mysql programming language? think there isn't point installing client on production server if can remotely send commands mysql-client on mac.

if expect code running on production server connect mysql db, yes.
